I decided that for the final outcome I would go back to one of my first experiments and move it into 3D, to create a piece of art of a piece of sound that you can experience, that you can walk around and experience in real life in 3D space, not on a screen or on a canvas.

I chose to have the shapes cut in acrylic due to the colours and the electric colours which I felt worked well with the theme of sound - I adamantly didn't want washed out colours.

In the next posts i'll share the cut pieces of acrylic before I hang them in mobile-like installation.

I chose to have all the pieces of acrylic in blue except one, the first chord - or root if you will, which I chose to cut red to work as a centre piece and as a clear stand out point.

<<I'd like to thank Lucy Hancock, the art technician at my old school (St Paul's) for running my designs through the laser cutter>>
