Saul Bass: A Life in Film & Design

I picked up this book in order to get a closer look at several pieces of Saul Bass - the image on the cover has been a big influence to the visual aesthetic of my piece and so I deemed it a good use of time to look through this book. I thought the black simplistic shapes on full colour backgrounds were fantastic as they make the pieces stand out and eye catching, they also help the simplistic shapes to feel fluid with the piece, because the backgrounds and the foregrounds are the same colour - so there is a good flow and unity of the canvas - for example the skin of a character is the same as the background.
